MMI: Fun Size
Victoria Justice’s character and Thomas Kubb’s character are going to different colleges. I just see no plausible way this couple stays together. I don’t think it’s healthy for either of them. They both need to date people and grow.
Cinema Beans: Klown
Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam believe they’ve crafted the perfect awkward film with Klown, when really it’s just awkwardly/painfully hard to watch. By making their characters the most deplorable people on the planet and then allowing them to get back together with their poor, wide-eyed, innocent, disappointed, yet otherworldly forgiving wives, they’ve done nothing more than offended my taste buds (and, you know, every character onscreen). There is a small moment of redemption at the end that, while haphazardly tacked on, is entirely warranted for these monster human beings and gives off a glimmer of hope that these women will fucking dump their asses. So yeah: lots of couples are doomed in this film. Casper and his wife. Frank and his wife. Director Mikkel Nørgaard and his dignity. Denmark and comedy. Life and reason. Me and sandwiches. Etc. And so on, and yada yada, and wocka wocka.
Can we talk about good movies again?
